In Loving Memory…

Monday, October 18th, 2010

We’d like to take a moment and pay homage to a very special kitty by the name of TC, who lost his battle to kidney disease last week.  He will be missed by the entire staff here at Woodland Springs, but especially by his buddy, Dr. Slough.   TC was first introduced to Dr. Slough several years ago when TC’s owner reported he was having difficulty urinating.  Even though TC was already a senior, Dr. Slough completed bladder surgery and removed the stones… and TC was a brand new kitty! Dr. Slough had the pleasure of being his veterinarian for many years, and it is with great sadness that we say good-bye.

His owners reflect on their life spent with him, and recall:  TC was referred to in the household as the best “boy” kitty or “our little man”.  He was a love bug, so friendly that he never met a stranger.  He was a lap kitty and loved to snuggle especially when the weather turned cool – he had to sleep right beside you.  He began his life as a stray barn “mouser” that grandmother took in to raise.  He worked his outside duties but came in for love and affection each day.  When she passed, he joined our household for the next 19 years.  As you can tell by the pictures, he was the perfect gentleman with all the other stray siblings – Sassy the youngest kitty became his buddy – she now demonstrates the same loving qualities!  Even in his older years, he still enjoyed going outside to chase smaller critters or just to lounge by the pool.  God was most gracious when he provided our family with TC for a blessed 22 years.  His loving spirit will truly be missed by all.

Farewell TC ~ until we meet again…
