Ken Slough, DVM

Ken Slough, DVM

Dr. Ken Slough opened Woodland Springs Veterinary Hospital in 2007. A native of Texas, Dr. Slough grew up in a small town in the Texas panhandle. He comes from an agricultural background and was very active in 4-H and FFA when he was young. Dr. Slough raised and showed pigs and lambs and helped care for many livestock; his family also raised Brittany Spaniels and Beagles.

Dr. Slough attended Oklahoma State University and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science in 1996. At Oklahoma State, he had many learning opportunities, including livestock and meat judging. Dr. Slough was the national champion in individual and team meat judging at the 1994 Intercollegiate Meat Judging competition. He continued his veterinary education at the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Dr. Slough went on to work at the Colerain Animal Clinic from 2000 to 2002, where he received extensive training in CO2 laser surgery and orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery. His professional interests include laser and orthopedic surgery and internal medicine.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Slough enjoys striper fishing at Lake Texoma and offshore fishing whenever he can. He also enjoys organic gardening and woodworking. Most of all, he likes to spend his free time with his family.

Elizabeth Loter, DVM

Elizabeth Loter, DVM

Dr. Elizabeth Loter has cared for pets at Woodland Springs Veterinary Hospital as a general practitioner since 2008. Prior to her arrival at Woodland Springs, she practiced at a very busy small animal clinic in Cincinnati.

Originally from Corpus Christi, Dr. Loter received a diving scholarship to Henderson State University in Arkansas and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry in 1997. She went on to Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Her professional interests include clinical pathology, dermatology and soft-tissue surgery.

Dr. Loter is married with two children. In her spare time, Dr. Loter enjoys reading paranormal fiction, running, swimming and diving and watching football.

Jennifer McCutchon, DVM

Dr. Jennifer McCutchon has been an associate Veterinarian at Woodland Springs Veterinary Hospital since 2011. Dr. McCutchon was born in Dallas, but was raised in Katy, TX.

She went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from Texas Tech University in 2006. While at Texas Tech she was involved in many agricultural organizations including the wool and meat judging teams. Dr. McCutchon earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 2011. Her clinical interests include dentistry, dermatology, and internal medicine.

Dr. McCutchon was recently married and enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 mixed breed dogs, cat and chinchilla. She enjoys gardening, movies, and cooking in her spare time.
