Feline Platinum Plan

Animals’ health care needs change as they get older. As you can imagine, the veterinary care a young cat requires is vastly different from that of a senior cat. The Feline Platinum Plan includes all basic wellness items such as necessary vaccinations, heartworm testing, intestinal parasite checks and dental cleanings.
For cats on the Platinum Plan, we use Sevoflurane anesthesia as opposed to Isoflurane during the annual dental cleaning. Both anesthetics are acceptable, but Sevoflurane is easier on older cats’ bodies as they go under and when they wake up. Older cats’ body systems have changed drastically over the years, so it is important to take all the necessary precautions to ensure their well being. We also perform dental x-rays to look for underlying problems we cannot detect during physical examinations.

Heart disease is a common concern for older cats. This being the case, we take yearly x-rays of the chest to watch for any changes as your cat ages. We will also perform a heart-health check on an annual basis. This consists of submitting a blood sample to an outside laboratory that will check for a specific enzyme that is present in the blood of cats suffering from heart disease. This is an incredible breakthrough in veterinary medicine and can oftentimes show that a cat is suffering from an abnormally functioning heart before he or she exhibits any symptoms.

We will also use a specialized tool to check for blood pressure changes every year. Abnormal blood pressure is a commonly undiagnosed problem with cats. If we detect any issues prior to your cat exhibiting any symptoms, we can suggest the necessary course of action that will ensure your cat will lead a healthier, longer life.

When we carry out extensive annual blood work for our Platinum Plan members, we get a complete blood count, check the thyroid and carry out urinalysis using 25 chemistries.

We conveniently distribute all of this annual veterinary care into monthly payments over the course of one year.
